Gang Unit Makes Heroin Bust

The Goldsboro Police Department reports a heroin trafficking arrest. Officers with the GPD’s Gang Suppression Unit were on patrol in the southern end of the city on Tuesday when a vehicle was stopped on S. Slocumb Street.  A K9 unit gave a positive alert to the possible presence of narcotics in the vehicle.  During the subsequent search, officers reportedly found over ten grams of heroin and over 18 grams of marijuana inside the vehicle.  30-year-old Dominique Brown of Goldsboro was arrested and charged with two counts of Trafficking Heroin and one count of Possession of Marijuana.  He was held on a $750,000 secured bond.
