Victim Identified In Fatal Lenoir County Crash

The North Carolina Highway Patrol has released the identity of the woman killed in a chain reaction collision this week in Lenoir County.  25-year-old Eboni Harris of Pikeville perished in Wednesday’s three-vehicle accident west of La Grange near the intersection of the U.S 70 Bypass and U.S. 70.  Harris was a backseat passenger in a car that apparently slowed down on the highway after missing an exit.  The car was struck from behind.  According to the Highway Patrol, Harris was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.  Other victims of the crash had to be taken to local hospitals.
