Shooting Suspect Turns Himself In

The suspect from a weekend shooting in Goldsboro is taken into custody. The Goldsboro Police Department reports 33-year-old Demarcus M. Davis of Goldsboro turned himself in on Monday afternoon.  Davis was wanted for the Saturday afternoon shooting of a 34-year old female that he had reportedly been involved in a relationship with.  The victim was found with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle at the intersection of Slocumb and Ash streets.  She had to be taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.  Davis faces charges of Attempted Murder, Firing into an Occupied Vehicle, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.  He was held under a $655,000 secured bond.
