UPDATE: Suspect Identified In Hit & Run (PHOTOS)

One person is injured in a hit-and-run near the Rosewood Walmart. According to the Goldsboro Police Department report, a person on a Harley was struck by another vehicle while in the shopping center parking lot on the 2900 block of U.S. Highway 70 West Thursday evening.  The suspect vehicle then backed up and struck the motorcycle again before leaving the scene.  The motorcycle then slid under another vehicle in the parking lot.  The Harley rider claimed he knew the suspect, and said the hit-and-run was intentional. The victim had to be taken to Wayne UNC Health Care.

UPDATE:

The suspect was identified as 32-year-old Brian K. Helmick of Goldsboro in the police report.  According to the GPD, Helmick has warrants for his arrest, but he has not been taken into custody yet.  Helmick faces charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury, Hit and Run, and Reckless Driving.
