Kinston Shooting Suspect Arrested In Boston

A suspect wanted for a Kinston attempted murder is picked up in Boston. According to the Kinston Police Department, Allen D. Lewis was arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop by the Boston Police Department and U.S. Marshal Task Force.  He has been placed in the Boston Jail under no bond and is awaiting extradition.  Lewis was identified as a suspect in the May 8th shooting that injured Rico Garner.  Garner was found in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds on the 800 block of Chestnut Street.  The shooting had reportedly occurred near Southeast Elementary School in Kinston.  Lewis faces charges of Attempted 1st Degree Murder, Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle, Discharging a Firearm on Educational Property, and Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
