Celebrating 35 Years Of National Night Out (PHOTO GALLERY)

Communities across the U.S. marked National Night Out Tuesday evening.

This was the 35th anniversary of National Night Out.

The Goldsboro/Wayne County National Night Out activities drew hundreds of participants to Herman Park.

The event gave citizens a chance to see law enforcement, emergency responders, and their equipment in a family-friendly environment.

Elsewhere in Wayne County, Mount Olive marked National Night Out at Nelson Street Park.

The Mount Olive Police Chief was the first to brave sitting in the dunking booth on a warm Tuesday evening.
