Library Providing Free Access To Great Courses

The Wayne County Public Library is now providing free online access to Great Courses. The local library system is providing the free access to the online Great Courses catalog of university-quality lectures and classes without the homework, exams, or other requirements of a typical college.  Lifelong learners can learn for fun and enrichment about things that interest them.  It just requires a digital device and a library card.

The courses range from a myriad of subjects and include: history (ancient and biblical times, medieval Europe, Eastern and Western civilizations, as well as how these historical periods still impact society); health (meditation, nutrition, natural healing and brain fitness); science (biology, astronomy & space, engineering & technology); language arts (leadership, thinking and communication skills for both professional and personal lives); and more.

Patrons can download the free RBDigital app on their device, create a login using their library card number, and choose to view any of the Great Courses listed therein. They will have access for one week at a time to unlimited course videos before having to login again. If patrons have questions or concerns about their account, or how to login, they can contact their local branch for assistance. RBDigital is also available on the Library’s website at under research/online resources or at wayneconc.oneclickdigital.com.
