Al Gore Kicks Off 2-Day NC Tour In Goldsboro

(GoldsboroDailyNews.com)–Former Vice President Al Gore kicked off a two-day tour of North Carolina by visiting the Christian Church Disciples of Christ on William Street in Goldsboro.  The tour is part of the “Ecological Justice Organizing Tour”.

Gore was accompanied by his daughter Karenna Gore, and the Rev. William J. Barber II.  The event is co-sponsored by the Poor People’s Campaign, a national political activism group which Rev. Barber leads.

The purpose of the tour is to focus on North Carolinians directly impacted by contamination from toxic waste.
