LaGrange Teen Killed In Accident

(GoldsboroDailyNews.com)–A single vehicle accident took the life of a 15 year old LaGrange teen Friday.

NC Highway Patrol Trooper Jackie Rogers said the Faulkner Tow truck from LaGrange was being driven by the owners son, Kenneth Faulkner III, 17, when the accident occurred.

Faulkner was traveling south on N.C. 11 about a half a mile from the Ferrell Road intersection of N.C. 11,  south of DuPont, when the tow truck went off the right side of the road. Faulkner apparently swerved back on the highway but over-corrected. The white truck rolled over three times on the highway, according to Trooper Rogers.

Both Faulner and the unnamed 15-year old were ejected from the truck since neither were wearing seat-belts at the time.

Faulkner was transported to Vidant Medical Center. Faulkner was seriously injured. The passenger died at scene.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
