All Eyes Are On The Neuse River

With Hurricane Florence making her presence known now, many are worried about the wind and power outages.  But according to the National weather Service, it’s the flooding that people in Wayne County need to be most worried about.  All one has to do is remember the damage inflicted by Hurricane Matthew back in October, 2016.

Here is the current level of the Neuse River near Goldsboro…Flood stage is 18 feet.  Matthew was 29.74.  The flooding from Hurricane Florence should begin Sunday morning, with the worst to arrive Sunday Evening and Monday.  As of  1:34 PM today, here is the current level.
