National Weather Service: Neuse River To Peak Early Next Week (AUDIO)

Warning Coordination Meteorologist Nick Petro with the National Weather Service Office in Raleigh spoke with Goldsboro Daily News Thursday afternoon as the first rain from Florence began to fall in Wayne County.

Petro expects the Neuse River to rise to a moderate flood stage by early next week.

He also says residents need to be aware that Florence may spawn a few tornadoes.
