Shelter At South Lenoir High School Forced To Close

South Lenoir High School has been closed for use as an emergency shelter during Hurricane Florence.

The building was without power and had suffered some damage during the storm.

According to a Facebook post from Lenoir County Emergency Services, those sheltered at South Lenoir High are being relocated to Lenoir Community College.

Lenoir Community College and North Lenoir High School are the recommended substitute shelters.
