Kinston Shooting Victim Dies, Suspect Arrested

A victim has died from injuries sustained in a Kinston shooting and police have made an arrest in the case. The Kinston Police Department reports 25-year-old Trashon A. Rhem has died from the gunshot wounds he sustained in Sunday night’s shooting on the 300 block of S. McDaniels Street.  On Tuesday, and arrest warrant was issued for 16-year-old Terrance D. Epps Jr. of LaGrange for First Degree Murder.  Epps turned himself in to the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday night and he was placed in the Pitt County Detention Center under no bond.  This investigation is ongoing.
