A suspect is now charged with murder in connection to a body that was found along a Goldsboro road. The body of 59-year-old Contrena A. Wooten of Goldsboro was found inside a laundry container on the 400 block of E. Holly Street Monday.  62-year-old Rocky A. Ashford of Goldsboro was arrested in connection to the case and initially charged with Concealment, Failure to Report, and Secretly Disposing of a Body.  Now, the Goldsboro Police Department reports Ashford is also charged with an Open Count of Murder and he’s being held under no bond at the Wayne County Detention Center.  The GPD continues to investigate the case with help from the N.C. Killing is a way of life for this guy, he has been to prison twice once in 1987 for manslaughter and did 4 years of a 10 year sentence and again in 1994 for second degree murder and released in 2011. Maybe he missed those prison walls and his three hots and a cot

As you mentioned, Rocky Marciana Ashford has killed more than once before.

But you have to understand, no one cares. Murderers get a brief stay in prison where they catch up with old friends, then they get released and receive plenty of gov assistance, EBT, etc. so they can continue to rape and rob.
