Boys & Girls Club Hosts Homecoming Football Game

Homecoming celebrations touch down at the Goldsboro Boys and Girls Club tonight.

The Boys and Girls Club is holding a homecoming game for its 11 and 12-year-old Little Cougars football team tonight during the matchup with the Eastern Wayne Warriors youth team.

Raytrell Caldwell is the Team Director at the Boys and Girls Club of Wayne County and he coaches the 11 and 12-year-old team.

Coach Caldwell says they do check report cards to ensure the students taking part in the sport programs are maintaining their grades.

Caldwell says the goal of the program is to develop the young athletes before they play football in middle school.

“Kay-Te” from 92.7 JAMZ will be broadcasting live at the Boys and Girls Club from 6 – 8 PM tonight before the game.

The live broadcast is sponsored by Goldsboro Pediatrics.

The team takes the field at 8 PM today, Nov. 6, for the game at the Goldsboro Boys and Girls Club on Royall Ave.

Tonight’s festivities during the homecoming game include a halftime performance from A Drummers World Drumline and Performing Arts School.

UPDATE:  The homecoming game and festivities have been rescheduled to Tuesday, Nov. 13, due to weather.
