Benefit For 3 Former Grantham Rescue Squad Members

For decades, Larry Hinson, Phyllis Mozingo and James Tadlock made a positive impact on the lives of Wayne County residents.

Hinson, Mozingo and Tadlock are retired members of the Grantham Rescue Squad, and, together, the three volunteers have over 100 years of helping the people of Wayne County.

But now, Hinson, Mozingo and Tadlock are facing serious health issues.

So, the Grantham Rescue Squad is holding a fundraiser for the former members this weekend.

Richard Proctor is the Grantham Fire Chief and he’s also a member of the Grantham Rescue Squad.

Proctor says Hinson, Mozingo, and Tadlock were “always willing to go the extra mile and make personal sacrifices to help their fellow man.”

The Grantham Rescue Squad’s fundraiser for Hinson, Mozingo, and Tadlock is being held at the Grantham Middle School on Saturday.

Barbecue pork and chicken plates will be available for purchase starting at 11 AM.

The auction will follow at 7 PM, and riding lawnmower is also being raffled off at the conclusion of the event.

Further details can be found on the event’s Facebook page.
