ACE Team Busts Meth Trafficking Suspects

The ACE Team makes a meth bust near Seven Springs. On Friday, members of the Wayne County Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team were conducting highway interdiction on N.C. 55 East in the Seven Springs area.  Deputies stopped a vehicle travelling east on Highway 55 for an equipment violation.  A K-9 gave a positive alert on the vehicle leading to a search.  Deputies report locating a large amount of meth totaling 244 grams along with U.S currency.  The driver, 33-year-old Jessica L. Roberts of Dudley, and the passenger, 22-year-old Mike A. Castillo of Seven Springs, were arrested on charges including 2nd Level Trafficking Methamphetamine.  Due to Castillo being a validated gang member, he received a higher bond.
