Armed Suspects Break Into Two Goldsboro Homes

One person is shot during a weekend home invasion and robbery in Goldsboro. The Goldsboro Police Department responded to the incident at a home on the 200 block of Randall Lane around 9:30 PM Saturday.  One victim stated he was sitting inside the home when the unknown suspects made entry through the front door and started shooting.  That victim fled and later realized he had been shot in the arm.  That victim was transported to Wayne UNC Health Care for treatment.  Another victim told officers he was standing outside the residence when two suspects approached on foot, held him at gunpoint and stole his cell phone.  Victim 2 stated he saw the suspects flee after the shots were fired in a dark colored passenger vehicle.

In a separate incident around 9 PM Saturday, two unknown armed suspects kicked in the door and entered a residence on the 700 block of S. Andrews Avenue. A male and his daughter were inside the home and escaped through a bedroom window.  The father had to be taken to the hospital after he suffered lacerations to both of his arms.  According to the Goldsboro Police Department report, surveillance footage showed one black male suspect armed with a army tan AR-15 style rifle and a second black male suspect was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

The GPD is looking into any possible connection between the two incidents.
