Steven Glen Edmundson, age 68, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Seth Raymond Edmundson and the late Rachel Mozzel Wiley Edmundson. Steve was retired from Johnson’s Wheel Alignment and the N.C. Department of Corrections.

A service to celebrate the life of Steve will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with Rev. Tony McLamb officiating. Family members will briefly greet friends Tuesday after the service at the cemetery.

Steve is survived by his wife, Susan Edmundson; two sons, Steven Glenn Edmundson, Jr., Sean Gregory Edmundson; a daughter, Stephanie Jean Akins; step son, Alan Green; step daughters, Rowena Porter, Mary S. Richardson, Tamatha Green; brothers, Jimmy Seth Edmundson, Larry R. Edmundson; nine grandchildren, Saquoia Richardson, Dakota Akins, Aliah Richardson, Olivia Porter, Noni Green, Jade Green, Ian Richardson, Juniper Sanchez-haas and Alan Green, Jr.
