Council Appoints New Mayor Pro Tem

The Goldsboro City Council selects its next second-in-command.

Monday evening, the Goldsboro City Council selected District 2 Council Member Bill Broadaway as the next Mayor Pro Tem.

The first vote Monday to make District 3  Council Member Mark Stevens the new Mayor Pro Tem failed.

Broadaway would serve with the duties of mayor in the absence of Mayor Chuck Allen.

Broadaway replaces District 5 councilman David Ham as Mayor Pro Tem.
