City Offers Scholarships For BLET Students

Goldsboro is offering scholarships for candidates working to join the city’s police force.

The scholarships are available for Goldsboro or Wayne County residents who demonstrate a financial need, are in pursuit of a career in law enforcement with the City of Goldsboro, and are enrolled in Wayne Community College’s Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy which begins January 7th.

The city is offering at least two scholarships worth up to $5,000 each.

A monthly stipend not to exceed $5,000 will also be awarded over the duration of the program.

The application deadline is December 28th.

The BLET application is available on the City of Goldsboro’s website.
