SJAFB Family Raising Funds To Adopt A Child

Stephanie and Garrett Bryden of Pikeville are hoping to add to their young family.

Garrett is stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base and he was deployed just two months after the couple was married in 2016.

Upon his return in April, the couple bought their home in Pikeville.

Now, the Brydens are hoping to add a child to their family.

However, Stephanie underwent surgery for a rare uterine cancer when she was 24, leaving her unable to have children.

So, Stephanie and Garrett Bryden are planning to adopt a child.

After finding a church and home in the Goldsboro community, Stephanie says everything is coming together to make the adoption happen.

The Brydens have already been in contact with adoption agencies, but Stephanie says adopting a child is a pricey venture.

The couple has been fundraising and hopes to raise the money necessary during 2019 to adopt a child.

You can help the Bryden family reach their adoption goal by visiting their Facebook page, GoFundMe page, or purchase a t-shirt here.
