Highway Patrol Identifies Fatal Crash Victims

The North Carolina Highway Patrol has identified the victims in this weekend’s fatal vehicle crash in Wayne County. According to the Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Dallas Ray Foss of Kenansville was killed in the Saturday evening accident on U.S. 117 near the intersection of U.S. 117 Alt.  Foss was driving a southbound Ford van that apparently crossed into northbound U.S 117 and struck a Chevy pickup truck head-on.  17-year-old Alexandria Barraza of Mount Olive was a passenger in the van.  She has been taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville and is listed in critical condition.  The driver of the pickup, 22-year-old Michael McKinny of Wilson, suffered minor injuries, and was treated at the hospital and released.  The State Highway Patrol says alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the fatal accident, and no charges are expected.
