Brace For Cold Temps This Morning

The National Weather Service is warning of the bitterly cold wind chills across much of Central North Carolina Monday morning.

Blustery northwest winds gusting around 20 mph this morning coupled with temperatures in the upper teens to lower 20s will create wind chill values in the single digits across the northern counties, and between 10 and 15 above across the south.

To combat the onset of frostbite, you will need to dress for the elements.

Dressing in layers, and wearing a hat, gloves and a scarf will aid to trap your body heat.

Cover as much of your exposed skin, and limit your time outdoors to just a few minutes through the mid-morning.
