Zion Church Road Close To Reopening (PHOTOS)

A section of Zion Church Road in southern Wayne County near the Duplin County Line has been out of commission since Hurricane Florence came through and ripped out the culvert, destroying the entire section of highway. But the stretch of road is close to reopening with a brand new 70 foot section of concrete bridge that’s being installed by T.A. Loving Company of Goldsboro. The crews have been working the past few months installing the bridge over the creek.  With a little luck, they’re hoping the new section of roadway will be finished by mid-March.  T.A. Loving employees Graig Smith, Toby Boone and Cory Alvarado were busy working on the rail of the bridge Thursday afternoon and enjoying the nice warm weather as they put the finishing touches on the bridge.
