School Board Appoints New Member

A new member is appointed to the Wayne County Board of Education.

Following an afternoon of interviews on Thursday, the school board selected Ven Faulk to fill the at-large seat left vacant when Raymond Smith was elected to the North Carolina House of Representatives.

Faulk is a funeral director with Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro.

He has unsuccessfully run for a spot on the board of education several times in the past.
