Active Shooting Training At SJAFB Today

Seymour Johnson Air Force Base will conduct an active shooter exercise on Wednesday afternoon, March 13. The Goldsboro Air Force base plans to collaborate with local first responders and Wayne Memorial Hospital during the exercise.  The active shooter training will test the 4th Fighter Wing’s ability to notify personnel, both on and off-base, of an incident in real time. Team Seymour members may experience traffic delays with increased presence of armed security forces and other first responders during the exercise.  Training such as these ensure the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Airmen can effectively complete the mission of the 4th Fighter Wing and are fully prepared to respond in the event of a real world disturbance.
