LCSO: Suspect Sold Marijuana To Officers

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit closes out an investigation with a pot arrest. As part of the investigation that began in October of 2018, detectives reportedly made numerous controlled purchases of marijuana from Dontrell T. Smith in the La Grange area.  Smith was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana, one count of Sell Schedule VI, and one count of Deliver Schedule VI.  He was given a $35,000 secured bond and was placed in the W.E. Smith Detention Facility.
