Suspect Charged For Not Returning U-Haul

When you rent a U-Haul, you had better bring it back. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office took a report of failure to return rental property from a local U-Haul contractor in October of 2018. After reviewing the contractual information, a suspect was identified in the case. Warrants were secured on 48-year-old Tradeca J. Campbell of Calypso for Felony Larceny and Felony Conversion. Campbell also had an Order for Arrest out of Sampson County for Driving While License Revoked. During an unrelated March 5th incident in Duplin County, Campbell was approached by law enforcement and arrested on the active warrants.  The U-Haul truck was reportedly found at Campbell’s residence and has since been returned to its owner.  Campbell’s bond was set at $8,000 secured and she was placed in the Wayne County Detention Center.
