Thousands Of Students Expected For Middle School Career Fair

8th graders from across Wayne County Public Schools will descend upon The Maxwell Center this week for the annual Middle School Career Fair.

The event is coordinated by the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce’s Wayne Education Network.

Tommy King, the Chair of the Middle School Career Fair, recently appeared on Jeff Farrow’s Morning Show on Goldsboro’s Greatest Hits 1150 and 98.3.

He says 1,600 students are expected to attend the career fair.

King says the word was put out to all local businesses — large and small — asking them to participate in the Middle School Career Fair.

The goal is to get kids interested in the career fields offered across Wayne County.

The Middle School Career Fair is being held at The Maxwell Center on Wednesday, March 20.
