Farm Credit Farmers Market Plans For April Opening

It’s almost farmers market season again.

The Farm Credit Farmers Market is planning to open for the 2019 season on April 11th.

Horticulture Agent Jessica Strickland with the Wayne County Cooperative Extension told the county commissioners this month that the 2018 season wasn’t everything they had hoped for.

The market’s opening was delayed as the building was constructed, and Hurricane Florence ended the farmers market’s season early.

Strickland says they’ve talked with their vendors and they’re planning to change the farmers market’s days and hours.

The market will be open:

  • Thursdays from 10 AM – 5 PM
  • Fridays from 10 AM – 5 PM
  • Saturdays from 9 AM – 2 PM

Strickland says events are planned throughout the season, and vendor interest is growing.

The Farm Credit Farmers Market is located right behind The Maxwell Center at 3114 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro.
