Dillard Academy Kindergarten Registration

Dillard Academy will hold its kindergarten registration on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 from 9am to 1pm.

A child must be 5 years old on or before August 31st to register for kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year. Parents/legal guardians must present an official birth certificate and immunization records to school officials. Parents/legal guardians must also present two sources of documentation such as utility bills, tax bill, deed of trust, rent receipt or any document which prove current resident status.

North Carolina law requires that each kindergarten child receive a health assessment and appropriate shots. The health assessment must be documented on an official N. C. Health Assessment Report Form which is available through the Wayne County Health Department and most pediatricians’ offices. This form needs to be returned the first day of the 2019-2020 school year.

Interim Principal Carole Battle of Dillard Academy captures the essence of the upcoming Kindergarten enrollment from Robert Fulghum’s quote, “Kindergarten children are considerate in spirit, infinite in resources and have their light on for learning”. Ms. Battle says, “Welcome to the class of 2032.”

We are located at 504 W. Elm St, Goldsboro, NC 27530. Those unable to register on April 16 are asked to contact the school at 919-581-0128. Dillard Academy Charter School is a free public school of choice serving students, Pre-K-8th grade. For more information about DACS please visit our website at http://www.dillardacademy.org/.
