Donald Kenneth “Kenny” Vanhoozier

Donald Kenneth “Kenny” Vanhoozier, 66, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.

A memorial service will be held Monday evening, April 22, 2019 at 6 p.m. at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Mitchell and Pastor Jack Sauls officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. His ashes will be scattered at a later date in Burkes Garden, Virginia.

Mr. Vanhoozier was born in Burkes Garden, Virginia on October 05, 1952 to the late Henry Stuart and Cora Herald Vanhoozier. He was a member of Mt. Nelson Baptist Church in Eureka and attended Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Vanhoozier worked at Electrolux until his health declined.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Suzanne Vanhoozier; son, Eric S. Wallace (Tammy); daughter, Cora Lee Vanhoozier of the home; five grandchildren, Tyler Wallace, Tiffany Wallace, Madison Sullivan, Julie Sullivan and Alyzabeth Sullivan; brother, Henry Stuart Vanhoozier (Betty); sister, Wanda Vanhoozier and TC Clark; one nephew and five nieces; his father and mother-in-law, Robert and Anne Lethco; brother-in-law, Robert Lethco Jr.; sister-in-law, Dianna Lethco Taylor and Andrew Lethco.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Vanhoozier was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Leffel; brother, Eugene Vanhoozier and nephew, Michael Vanhoozier.

The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
