County Approves Ten-Year Airport Hangar Lease

A proposal to lease an airport hangar to Wayne UNC Health Care draws no public input.

The public hearing on the matter was held during Tuesday’s Wayne County Board of Commissioners meeting.

Wayne Executive Jetport Director Brandon Gray told the county commissioners the lease is good for up to ten years.

While the lease is in effect, Wayne UNC Health Care agrees to register no less than $4 million worth of aircraft in Wayne County.

According to the lease agreement, Wayne UNC will pay $3,500 a month for the premises.

The county commissioners quickly and unanimously approved the airport hangar lease following Tuesday’s public hearing.
