Residents Urged To Clean Up Goldsboro

The community is encouraged to help Goldsboro look its best.

Appearing on Jeff Farrow’s Morning Show on Goldsboro’s Greatest Hits 1150 and 98.3, Mayor Chuck Allen urged residents to do what they can to spruce up the city, especially heading into the Wings Over Wayne Air Show weekend.

Goldsboro Building and Grounds Maintenance Superintendent Patrick Lechner says the city is doing what it can to freshen up its appearance before welcoming thousands of guests for this weekend’s air show.

Goldsboro Public Information Officer LaToya Henry says city employees will do their part during a litter cleanup event scheduled for this Tuesday.

Henry says citizens will have their turn on May 4th.

On Saturday, May 4th, the city will host a Community Litter Cleanup from 9 AM until 1 PM.

Registration will begin at 8:30 AM on May 4th, and the city is hoping residents from across the county will volunteer.

You can also pre-register by visiting the City of Goldsboro’s website.

Get rid of half the public housing ( for which we have the most in NC per capita ) and you will see an immediate reduction in litter and crime.
