Lohmann To Speak At Annual UMO Martin Lecture

The University of Mount Olive will hold its annual Martin Lecture on Wednesday, April 24 at 7 PM in the Southern Bank Auditorium.

Dr. Kenneth J. Lohmann will be the lecturer. Dr. Lohmann is the Charles P. Postelle Jr. Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His lab studies the behavior, sensory biology, physiology, and conservation of marine animals such as sea turtles, lobsters, and fish. More information on his research can be found at

The annual Lorelle F. Martin Lecture was established in 1993 by Dr. E. Lee Glover as an annual tribute to his former professor, Lorelle F. Martin. Martin served for 30 years as chair of the Department of Science and Mathematics at Mount Olive College before retiring in 1987.
