Mickey McLawhorn

Mildred “Mickey” McClenny McLawhorn, 92, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Goldsboro Assisted Living in Goldsboro.

Mickey was born in Wayne County on January 30, 1927 to the late Junie and Hattie Cotton McClenny. She was married to the late Joseph Cecil McLawhorn. Mickey owned and operated Mac’s Pastry in Goldsboro for many years. She was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Mickey’s life at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Richard Toler officiating. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mickey is survived by her son, Charles Kent McLawhorn and wife Angie; daughter, Cecilia Ann Cannaday and husband Bobby; sisters, Betty Lou Case and Barbara Jean Price; brother, Bill McClenny; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Ann Smith.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in her memory to Love Memorial Baptist Church, 192 Woodland Church Road, Goldsboro, NC 27530.
