Saluting Seymour

Every week, Saluting Seymour and SoundScope highlight an airman serving at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.

Airman First Class Chandler T. Smith

Smith has been in the Air Force a little over two years and Seymour Johnson is his only duty station. Smith comes to Goldsboro from Kentucky and says he’s adjusting to life in the smaller town.  He says he chose the Air Force over other military branches due to its potential career paths.  Smith works with the Communications Squadron.  During his free time, Smith likes checking out the latest flicks.  Smith says the tuition assistance is a major benefit from an Air Force career.  He also says he’s met a lot of cool people during his time with the Air Force.  Smith says he’s met a lot of cool people since joining the Air Force.

SoundScope can be heard on Fridays at 6:44 AM, 12:00 PM, and 5:00 PM on Goldsboro’s Greatest Hits 1150 AM and 98.3 FM.
