Firefighters Battle Brush Blaze (PHOTOS)

Late Wednesday afternoon, firefighters from Indian Springs, Dudley and Mount Olive were dispatched to a brush fire that was threatening a structure. As firefighters arrived on the scene, they found the blaze in a patch of wooded area in the 200 block of Hopewell Lane.  The fire had already destroyed a horse trailer and several other items nearby. The quick action of firefighters managed to contain the blaze to its general origin area. Fire officials on the scene were trying to discover the cause of the blaze. The North Carolina Forestry Division was called to the location to assist in the operation. Firefighters were on the scene for a little more than hour making sure the fire was completely out.

Its amazing that GDN will inquire about a little bit of weeds burning in the country (like the citizens of wayne county really want or need to know) but refuse to inquire about a cop passing a STOPPED school bus in grantham while a child is crossing the street from that bus…….
