Dillard & Goldsboro Alumni Parade Through Downtown (PHOTO GALLERY)

Downtown Goldsboro was bustling with activity Saturday morning as the Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni and Friends held its annual homecoming parade.  Thousands lined the streets of the downtown to watch the parade celebrating 64 years of the organization’s homecoming celebration.  This year’s homecoming celebrated Dillard and Goldsboro high school classes that ended in “4” and “9.”  The Class of 1969, the last class to graduate from Dillard High School, celebrated their 50th year.  The parade is one of the most visible activities from the weekend full of events for Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni and Friends.  Thursday evening, the organization held its annual scholarship ceremony, awarding scholarships to students graduating from Goldsboro High School.
