North Duplin H.S. Graduation (PHOTO GALLERY)

Saturday morning, 71 students from the North Duplin Junior-Senior High School received their diplomas during the graduation exercise held at the Kornegay Arena on the campus of the University of Mount Olive. The processional got started at 10:00 AM when the students made their way down the aisle led by class marshals. North Duplin Principal Mr. Anthony W. Jones asked the students and guests to stand for the playing of the Star-Spangled Banner by the North Duplin Band follow by the invocation by Pastor Nicholas C. Nielsen. Principal Jones welcomed the parents and friends to the ceremony, followed by a song by the North Duplin Chorus. Honorary student, Deborah Joanna Hernandez-Morales, gave a reflections on the past, followed by Jenny Molina Guzman’s speech on looking toward the future. Principal Jones gave the recognition of awards and scholarships followed by the awarding of the diplomas with the assistant from Mrs. D. Nicole Sasser, Assistant Principal. A yellow rose was given to each student by Chief Marshal Cassie Marie King as they came up on the stage.
