Saluting Seymour

Every week, Saluting Seymour and SoundScope highlight an airman serving at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro.

Tech. Sgt. Hector Rivera Vazquez with the 4th Operational Support Squadron

Rivera Vazquez comes to Goldsboro from Puerto Rico. He’s been in the Air Force over 15 years, and he’s been at Seymour Johnson for the past two years.  Rivera Vazquez is responsible for Aircrew Flight Equipment.  Rivera Vazquez says he, his wife and four kids find fun ways to spend their free time in Goldsboro, including hanging out with the local car groups.  He appreciates how Goldsboro welcomes airmen to the community.  Rivera Vazquez says the Air Force is a complete package, offering travel, education, and a “springboard” for life after the Air Force.
