Smith Delivers “Hearts” To Sheriff’s Office Annex

Carole Smith of Pikeville delivered her latest batch of “Hearts” to officers at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Annex on Thursday.

As the campaign for “Hearts for Law Enforcement Officers” continues, Smith says, “I’ve been reminded by officers through wonderful emails how this campaign has touched their hearts.”

Smith founded the “Hearts for Law Enforcement” effort, and she’s distributing the homemade “Hearts” to all the law enforcement offices in Wayne County before turning her attention to the county’s fire and emergency responders.

Anyone interested in assisting Smith with the “Hearts for Law Enforcement” effort, including making the actual hearts, can call 919-440-5101 or email [email protected]
