Mar-Mac F.D. Responds To Vehicle Crash (PHOTOS)

This single vehicle accident occurred Tuesday morning on the 400 block of Genoa Road near Old Mount Olive Highway. Firefighters from Mar-Mac and EMS were dispatched to the scene of the accident to check out the driver of the 2016 Kia  after it ran off the right shoulder of the road in a curve.  The vehicle struck a driveway culvert, went air born, and struck a large oak tree before coming to rest on the edge of a wheat field. The driver, Fru’quez Val’Shoun Best of Goldsboro, was checked out on the scene by Wayne County paramedics. He refused transport to the hospital.  The North Carolina Highway Patrol charged Best with No Operator’s License and Failure to Maintain Lane Control. Firefighters remained on the scene until the accident site was cleared.
