Coal Ash Coalition Meets Thursday

The Down East Coal Ash Coalition holds its monthly meeting this Thursday.

Bobby Jones with the Down East Coal Ash Coalition says the meeting will touch on the DEQ permit that would allow re-burning of coal ash.

According to Jones, the group is collaborating with Clean Air North Carolina to install air monitors to measure the impact of the burnt coal ash.

Jones says youth are getting more involved in the environmental movement.

The Down East Coal Ash Coalition meeting is being held at 6:30 PM this Thursday, June 20, at Greenleaf Christian Church, 2110 N. William Street in Goldsboro.
