Post 11 Shuts Out Farmville

By ANDREW STEVENS

Noah Overton pitched four shutout innings and got plenty of run support in Wayne County Post 11’s 11-0 victory over Farmville Post 151 on Tuesday night at Goldsboro High School.

Overton allowed just one hit and recorded seven strikeouts with three walks. Will Harris struck out the side in one inning of relief.

Tanner Capps contributed a pair of hits, including a home run for Post 11. Case Kermode also had two hits and four RBI.

Wayne County (15-6, 6-2 Area I East) visits Farmville at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
