Post 11 Shuts out Pitt County

Wayne County post 11 jumped out to a 6-0 lead after three innings and cruised to a 9-0 win over Pitt County Post 39 on Wednesday night at Goldsboro High School.

Post 11 earned its eighth consecutive victory.

Blake Dilda and Case Kermode each had two hits and two RBI for Wayne County. Kermode also hit a home run.

Logan Price, Tanner Capps, Tanner Willman and Will Albert all contributed a hit.

Noah Overton pitched six shutout innings with six strikeouts and four walks to record the win on the mound.

Post 11 (20-6) concludes its regular season on Friday with a doubleheader against perennial power Cherryville at Boshamer Stadium on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
