Commerce Secretary Addresses Development Alliance (PHOTOS)

North Carolina Commerce Secretary Tony Copeland was in Goldsboro Wednesday speaking at the annual luncheon for the Wayne County Development Alliance.

Copeland tells Goldsboro Daily News the state is well positioned for economic growth, and he believes Wayne County is in especially good shape.

Secretary Copeland believe the Air Force base has helped the county get ahead with broadband access and cellphone coverage.

Copeland praised Wayne County’s economic development efforts, but he urges leaders to prepare for changes and keep growing the trained workforce.

Secretary Copeland says all sectors are looking for employees, and the state need to continue training its workforce base.
