Suspect Allegedly Stole Acquaintance’s Bank Card

A suspect is accused of fraudulently using someone else’s bank card. A Goldsboro resident reported the fraudulent charges on his banking account in April.  The charges were made at a local convenience store.  After reviewing surveillance video from the store, 49-year-old Stephen D. Theesen of Goldsboro was developed as the suspect.  According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect and victim were acquainted.  Warrants were secured on Theesen and he was arrested Monday by an officer with the Goldsboro Police Department.  Theesen is charged with one count of Financial Card Theft and one count of Financial Card Fraud.  He was held under a $1,000 secured bond.
