Gas Prices Drop As Summer Winds Down

(NORTH CAROLINA NEWS NETWORK) — A slight dip in demand as the summer travel season winds down may be a factor in stabilizing what you pay at the pump.

Tiffany Wright at AAA Carolinas in Charlotte tells us price could be a function of travel patterns.

As of Tuesday, the national average for unleaded regular is $2.76.

North Carolina has an average of $2.56, down a couple of cents from a month ago.
